*gulps* dont attack me

Does top and bottom positions matter to anybody else or is it just me? Like idk I just can’t read stuff where someone is in a position I don’t imagine them in at first like ik this is weird but it just throws me off so badly. I obviously won’t hate on smth if the positions arent what I expect but I lowk just can’t continue enjoying it T-T it’s only rlly with yaoi too like for yuri Im fine with either of them “topping” and in straight smut when I feel like reading it idrc if the girl is pegging the dude or he’s putting it in its just with yaoi for some odd reason. Im fine with switching though we need more of that but when they have set positions and it’s not what I envisioned I just can’t aughhhh. Im usually able to tell positions most of the time too so this isn’t really a big problem, it’s mainly just in fics with my fav ships. Maybe it has something to do with personally and characterization that goes into this? I’ve had this problem for a while and I just wish I cared less. Maybe it also has something to do with power imbalance(?) like how I usually like bottoms to be buff or more masculine ones or just stronger then the top Im some way. Pls help
