90% of omegaverse authors use that genre cuz it's a cash bag, they can sexualize gay people without repercussions AND use easy plot devices like pheromones, heat, or being fated partners cuz they suck at writing but still want to make money. I'm a hypocrite tho cuz I do enjoy those stories but most of them are just empty with no depth at all
