i dont mind ships not being canon but i dont like shipping characters that are in canon relationships with other characters (unless the writing of the canon relationship is really bad). no hate to those other ships, it just feels like im rooting for the ship that already sank and it gets boring   2 reply

i feel like ever since covid since more ppl started joining fandom spaces it developed this fucked up subculture of "i win if my ship becomes canon" so to a lot of ppl (mainly younger) its a competition and not just something they do for fun. i guess its also a validation thing like "see if they made my ship canon i obviously know the characters be......   1 reply

I absolutely do. I am glad for the people who don't seem to care about it, but I do. As someone who mostly ships queer ships, I am sick and tired of my ships never being canon. I just wanna experience what it feels like having a canon ship, mannn.   reply
