Why are Asians so obsessed with family validation

Idk if I'm just a hater but as a person from India (heavy family glorifying country btw) almost every show I come across has the "power of family love" trope where ur family is the no 1 priority and their kid leaves their relationship to realize "I only need my family" I realize some people have loving families
And also how "well, they're your parents" is an excuse to just accept wtv bullshit they throw at you. Family this family that, it's so annoying they're seen as angels or people with power who have absolute control over you

i also hate how in many shows unless the parents cheat, neglect ther kid and physically abuse them they're not problematic enough for the child to leave them. Like haven't any of these people heard of mental abuse and manipulation? Why is the child expected to forgive their parents for alot of bullshit things they do? This is heavy on Asian shows.
Oh and don't get me started on how normalized beating up your kid is, even in Asian stereotypes. I never found it funny how hitting your kid with a belt is supposed to make you laugh and how in so many shows the parent literally beats up the kid for dating someone or for some absurd reason.....
Conditional love is so normalized, like you could have not given birth to me in the first place if you wanted me to do what you want me to do in MY future to be deemed useful and "worthy" of your love.
