My Crush is so frustrating
I asked him to hang out with me before spring break and he said definitely yeah (we're friends in a group but never hung out individually before). He ended up having a lot of work to do and I went home for break, so he said we would definitely hang out after we got back. When I got back, I asked him when he would be free and he apologized and said he was busy this week and next week (what could bro be doing...he's literally in one club and has no hobbies). He then invited me to this party he's hosting next week (no literally what is he even doing) and said I was welcome to come. Lowk felt like an apology/consolation or some sort of business compromise. I feel like he just didn't want to seem like he was going back on his word, but he didn't offer another time or even that we should hang out eventually. I'm just super disappointed, especially because he graduates in a couple of months. I feel kinda stupid for getting my hopes up :(.

He might be a busy person, but he also can make a party. If you truly matters, he will go with you instead of making that party.
When they show you the way they behave, trust them. Then ask yourself, is he worth it?

for now, kinda just narrow down your view to a few possible options instead of overthinking; is he really as busy as he seems to be? you'd only know that. plus, if he's not as busy as he seems to be whenever you ask him out, he's most likely avoiding you.
since you two are already in a group and have never hung out individually before, i assume you two will stay in contact for pretty much a looooong while.
also, remember to be polite and patient! just act like you always have with him, and don't give away your feelings so easily by being persistent if you two have NEVER hung out one on one before. he miiiight be weirded out. let it take its time, and if he ends up liking you, or already likes you, he'll get to you for sure :D

You're right. I do know he's working on initiation since he's the prez of his club and that probably means he's genuinely busy, I'm just not sure why he offered this time if he knew that this week was rush (he could have forgotten ig? It's a yearly thing, but sure).
I plan to go to this party since it's out of character for me not to go and his friends would have invited me anyways. If he starts talking to me there, then I guess I'll know I overthought it. Thanks!
