honestly it sounds like a bit of an unhealthy addiction. it's good that ur doing well in school at the very least. but yeah this applies to everything, if u find that ur spending more time thinking abt yaoi, projecting yaoi onto people, neglecting responsibilities in favour of yaoi, etc, then you're in a bit too deep. maybe u can try setting limit......   1 reply

Yes it will. In university, you cannot afford to barely try—it takes legitimate work. I also barely tried when I was in highschool (until I took AP courses) and I found out quick that I had to really lock in to keep my GPA high. The best way to get over it is to go cold-turkey. While logically, the best advice is to stop. I say that you should just keep doing it. But make kt a reward system. I get good grades too, like 7s and 8s in the IB system but I read yaoi like everyday before bed or before going to school. I just do my stuff first then leave 1-3 hours of free time for yaoi TLDR: It's fine. You can do it.   reply

Read yaoi where the main characters are productive, for example semantic error, idk seeing the characters locking in will definitely help you lock in. Or like other ppl suggested use it as a reward   reply

Girl same, I wouldn't say it's the same extend though. In your case, as some said it's seems like it became a unhealthy addiction. I know it will be hard to let go on bad habits ( not that reading yaoi is bad) but it seems like you're are too fixated into the world of yaoi that you completely becoming more and more out of touch of the reality. It's......   2 reply
