What y’all think about being mixed?
One of my closest girl friends proudly says that she’s racist, like: “our country was so nice before other races came here.” The thing is, I’m mixed — my father is West Asian, and we naturally have thinner eyes and tanned skin.
She reposted some corny TikTok video that said something like “don’t mix your snow with dirt,” and I reached out to her saying likeee that’s not very nice.
She was like, “Oh no, I don’t mean YOU and your ethnicity, it’s about Arabs and Indians. Why are you offended?”
Growing up, I always felt awkward for not fitting in. My last name is long, my name isn’t local, but I’m very proud of my father and I don’t think it’s something I should be ashamed of.
So what do you guys think? Should I be offended?
stop asking people if you should be offended and start asking yourself why you're still friends with her

That is such vile and disgusting rhetoric she is spewing. You should absolutely be offended because its people like that who say "im not talking about YOU"/"you're one of the good ones!" Who will be quick to drop you if the way they perceive you changes. Like if you say or do anything to defend marginalized communities.

1. There is nothing more happier than loving your own ethnicity and culture so don't be ashamed
2. Cut her off even if she said "I'm not talking about you" deep down u both know it's about u even if she says sry a mentality like that is not sth u can change over night so she will still be racist inside

Indians are still Asian.. that’s colorist af which is already a very big problem in the Asian community with SEA and East Asians. Ain’t nobody more racist to each other more then other Asians from my experience.

Nothing wrong with being mixed, it's not like same race or whatever guarantees true love. Ridiculous that people obsess over this dumb shit, before literally every other shit, we're literally all humans, and there's a bit of influence from every culture all over the world whether people like it or nah, most are just in denial.

As always another day for me to be grateful for not being white.
Anyway im curious about how are you still friends with that bitch ass of a girl. Also instead of asking others you should ask it to yourself. Are you offended? Are you hurt? If so then cut her off from your life forever and be as proud of you root as you should be.
