The industry favors straight males heavily. Female protag representation doesn't always represent women's best interest. You can have a female protagonist and have her just be a sexual object for the male gaze, you can also have a male protag and have him be a beloved figure to female audience. Indie horror game need to drop the "it looks like an innocent game but it's not" concept I feel like we've already made every variant possible of this theme. We also need more female or poc characters not made for the male gaze   reply

Realtime > turn based > tactics I grew up way back when turn based was the norm, so I don't really mind it. And most of the time the auto battle options helps alat specially when grinding.
