The mulan is trans debate

It's kind of misogynist to think Mulan is trans, you're basically refusing to accept a woman to be as strong as men so you made a headcanon that she is biologically a man in order for her to be strong. There's plenty of trans representation out there, why choose a biological woman? Just let women have one thing jeez, Mulan is one of the most femini......   5 reply

I think the reason why people are upset by it is because Mulan is supposed to be a strong willed, brave woman. A woman that went to war to save her own father. Seeing people argue about this is so funny because they know zero about ancient Turkish history. That era was peak feminism. Honestly, trying to label Mulan as a trans individual is an insult to feminism and female empowerment. It completely takes away from a woman's own strength and what she can achieve as a woman. And the funniest part? The enemy ......   reply

She isn't but some people like to imagine it or relate it to their exp. It's nothing new, I remember back then that to some people the kids movie Luca felt like an allegory for gay exp   reply

I mean she's canonically a woman but it's not wrong to have a headcanon of her being trans and if it makes them feel comfortable and represented then let them. If they don't like the headcanon and it's harmless then just scroll and don't add an opinion where it obv not for you I swear this argument came from either TikTok or Twitter but I'm pretty ......   reply
