Help me out please

Is it a red flag is the person you're talking to and like tells you to keep the fact that you guys are talking a secret from everyone he knows? What does it mean?

To sum it all up, I've developed a crush on this guys that's a year older than me and we started talking. He has been nice to be —in fact, too nice. He greets me everyday, talks to me even though he's already at 1%, sends me reels that's about love and wtv, tells me that he would be my home and someone that I can lean my head on when I'm too exhausted from my acads, talks to me for hours everyday, sends me his silly pictures, voice messages, his cute stickers, and sulks at me whenever I forget to reply to him. He even dedicated the song "tingin" to me one time.

What I don't understand is why he told me to keep "us" a secret when we're not even anything. No label, not friends (?) or anything. Just talking. I have no idea what's going on cuz this is my first time actually taking someone this seriously. This may sound cringe but, I think he's the first person that I've ever seriously loved. Even though we weren't actually together — not even an m.u.

Things have been quite suspicious lately cuz I've been noticing that his friends keep smiling at me — in like a way that they know something's going on and that it's all just a game. What I found out about this guy, though, is that he's probably still not over his ex. His greatest love, his first love.

I'm not sure if I'm just overthinking but, I think he's just toying with my feelings. But part of me still wants to believe that he's not that kind of person.

I've already asked my friends about this and they all told me to stay away from him because it's clear that he's hiding something. I believed them. Because I don't want to fall deeper and I just want to focus on my studies.

I'm sorry if this was confusing. I really am not in my right mind right now cuz I'm also unsure. What I know, though, is that I still love him and I love him genuinely.

Yes it is. But I also think that people should communicate with each other and lay it on the table. I think you guys are close enough to be asking things upfront. I wouldn't be counting on vague hopes if someone is deliberately asking to be vague or has vague intentions about you, or outright refuses to be clear and communicate about it. At the sa...... reply

I think that the fact that he is still not over his ex is not a very good sign! You should at least let him settle his feelings first before trying to get into anything with him. I do wish for you that everything goes well but do be wary of the fact that he's hiding you and being weird with his friends about you. I think you're worth more than bein...... reply
