Tbh I don't really mind abusive characters THAT much (don't like them tho) because I can clearly differentiate my fiction from reality and recognize why the character may create harmful implications and stereotypes to certain communities. I think the issue lies when people can't do that. They always say "it's just fiction, it doesn't impact MY real......
