I’ve been struggling with self harm for years now, and I have to say although I’m not a professional and I have never been to a therapist personally (yet). The best I can recommend is whenever you get the urge get a rubber band and slap it on your skin, if mimics the pain of cuts. Draw lines with a Washable marker Of where you want to cut.
