When I was in 9th grade, I had this friend I’d known since elementary school. We were really close, along with three other friends. At that time, she had a boyfriend, and they seemed fine. We, her friends, supported her—and would even tease her because they were so sweet together.

A year passed, and they were still together. She started opening up to us about how toxic he was— controlling her and blackmailing her. Of course, as her friends, we talked shit about him. I even DMed him about how shitty he was. But despite all that, they stayed together… until early 2021, I think.

Later, the same boy started dating another friend from a different friend group. I noticed he seemed different from how my friend had described him. I hadn’t spent much time around him before because we weren’t classmates and their classroom was far from ours. Still, I warned my other friend to be careful around him because of what he’d done.

Fast forward to 2022, they got together. In 2023, I
noticed my first friend (the ex) sticking around him. I was confused, and she told me they were “just friends.” I was like… okay??

Mid-2023, she called me, saying she had to confess something. We met at the plaza, and she started laughing at first. I asked her what was going on, but it took forever for her to answer. And then… she confessed that she made it all up. Everything she’d told us about her ex being toxic or cheating? Turns out it was actually her.

The moment I heard that, I doubted everything. All those years we believed the boy was the villain and she was the damsel in distress. for 3 years we talked shit about him ans hated him and i felt guilty about so i apologized to him coz i too was decieved. I felt lowkey betrayed because we trusted her, and I even defended her. She was a good friend, really, but in that moment I realized I barely knew her. We tried to talk it out but the trust was broken and we eventually fell apart. we still tlak casually but not as often as before

Now, my other friend and him are in a happy relationship—he’s basically the definition of “under” lol.

A little backstory from my Grade 5 experience: we were gardening behind our classroom, and while my classmates were messing around, this one friend of mine pranked me by showing me a long-ass worm right in my face. I panicked so hard I started hyperventilating.

Fast forward, we had to go back to the garden, and my friend was asking where the worm was. I had this terrible hunch it was on me, and the moment I opened my hair… the worm was actually there. THE FUCKASS WORM WAS HANGING ON MG HAIR. I almost collapsed—I swear it felt like I couldn’t breathe. And i was really upset coz everyon knew in that classroom that i have this irritational fear of worms but my friend still pra mnked the shit out of me. After that accident everytime i open my hair it feels like the worm was still there that’s why i always had it in ponytail.
