I understand both points. On one hand people are concerned BL will normalize toxic relationship dynamics and abuse. On the other hand people just want to enjoy angsty drama filled plot without being stoned.

But I’ve gotten into Chinese novels in recent years. It’s so good and I went down a rabbit hole because I wanted stories without all the censorship. I don’t need all the details but I don’t want to analyze a metaphor to know if they kissed. Anyway I went too far and some of those stories need be censored
