I personally think that this is a slippery slope. Fiction is fiction. Where do u draw the line to where something is wrong or not? In shonen manga like Jujutsu Kaisen, Naruto they literally have child soldiers which is immoral and if it happened irl it'd def be wrong, but it's not, cuz it's fiction. You know what I don't understand why is murder, torture, genocide completely acceptable for people to read about. And I'm not talking about villains in the story I'm talking about MCs But for toxic and abusive relationships it's suddenly this is disgusting the author should be locked up for writing this crap. In my opinion it's because Chinese uses a lot of idioms which are hard to translate and it's used very commonly to the point where you'd get an idiom every few paragraphs, so you'd either have to translate it weirdly or give a lot of context, or just change the whole sentence to give similar meaning (but obviously then you get inaccuracies).
