There was a similar question asked back in 2019 has many people had many things to say about it but to answer your question in one sentence yes some people actually do touch themselves while reading yaoi. While that knowledge makes me really uncomfortable , what people do in the privacy of their home is none of my business .

Your problems are not trivial. There is nothing humiliating or embarrassing about sharing your problems or being vulnerable with someone you trust. THIS is what makes us humans.
