Tbh unofficial one. This goes for anime subs too.

Depends. I'd say 5-8 but not every one has an exam (there's a big exam for multiple courses).
I don't think comparing is helpful, you don't know how intense the courses are.
Maybe some people learn much more with 4 subjects than others with 8 because the latter are only surface level.
