I think Yaoi is a category of its own, it falls under BL but while all BL has uke and seme, often follows the same tropes and depicts mlm in a certain way, not all BL does. I don't read Yaoi anymore and don't support its content. Why should I call myself a fujoshi?? A fujoshi is someone who reads and supports Yaoi, I don't.

I think it's really important to keep in mind that it will most likely not solve your problems even with more time.
I've been in therapy for about 4 years now and I still have the same illness i went to it. We are only now starting to treat it, I had so much childhood stuff to unpack that had to be done first.
