Because their privilege makes them uncomfortable. For once in history they're being considered the out-group instead of the in-group because being a minority is cool now and most places consist of minorities. Well, the college experience varies. Most people I've seen(including me) haven't made many friends and it's been stressful. Honestly your guess is as good as mine. What it boils down to the people that do support him don’t have any consequences for liking and supporting him. They sit in their homes and buy his brand, watch his videos and like him in private.
