Your top three favourite characters.
1. kidnap and starve them to death
2. rape them (or find someone to do it idrc)
3. eat their eyes and kill them (you have to do it)
pick one for each
I'm tired of asking everyone for recommendations of the same old manga every day. And of everyone asking the same questions every week. Where did my weekly mangago drama go? I have no life.
Anyway, watching some of you torture yourself over this will make me mildly less bored.

Do you prefer a literal translation or a cultural translation?
If you don't know what this means think about it like this. A literal translation treats the OG text as god and will adhere exactly to what it is saying, if there isn't an exact translation, then they will translate it to the next best thing that can replicate it. However, this also means that unless you are familiar with that culture, there might be discrepancies in tone.
A cultural translation will translate a text based on its meaning and tone. This means that they will try to replicate the text they are translating in the culture they are translating to. So, if someone is speaking 'rudely' in Japanese, it might just sound like normal speak in English, so a cultural translation will probably try to add in things like swear words.
Most of what you all probably read are actually cultural translations, literal translations are for works that actually have some level of complexity in their writing to warrant it.
I'm just curious because the translators of Slow Damage got crap for doing a cultural translation lmao.
If you need an example, omae (お前) is considered to be really informal, but it directly translates to you. You would usually address someone by their name... A literal translation will just say 'you', but a cultural might say, 'bro' or something depending on the context. (您 versus 你 in cn too).
so which one do you prefer?

1. Would you rather read Jinx or Painter in the Night
2. Would you rather read BJ Alex or Love is an Illusion
3. Would you rather read Obey Me or Unfather
4. Would you rather read I'm No Match For Him or Hogu Hageongsu
5. Would you rather read Dawn of the Dragon or Lover Boy?
6. Would you rather read Caste Heaven or Ten Count
I know some people are just going to be boring and say no, but the university decided to shut off the water system so I can't take my second shower of the day.
I think of this list, I've only ever read Hogu Hageongsu, Lover Boy, and Ten Count... People who have read all of these, tf were you thinking, you completionist?

I'm just curious...
Someone was talking to me about how they like it when they're looking at each other, and someone else was saying how they like it when the other y'know, grabs their hips and do it facing their back.
And I was like... there's... a preference for it???
And another was like, they prefer seeing them jack off, give blowjobs, ooh apparently that person REALLY likes it when the top kneels to give a blowjob.
(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ yeah so your favourite yaoi sex positive/sexual act!

I have the raws of hashihime of the old book town up to chapter 8.
But I don't know how to upload raws...
Can someone tell me how to upload the raws? When I go to upload chapter there isn't an option to say that the chapters are the raws.
They are also the official ones too haha...

What's a type of character (or a specific character) that you like in fiction, but when you imagine yourself meeting them, you think you'd really dislike them?
Personally, I really like manipulative characters (fyodor dostoevsky), characters that are said to 'read' people (imayoshi shoichi), or two-faced characters (idk like Mikado Ryuugamine) - but if I met people like them in irl I'd stay away for good reasons.

I'm genuinely confused about this.
You know there is this very loud policy of "if you have a negative opinion that doesn't mean you HAVE to share it"?
Does no one find this... kind of dumb?
(tldr: it is dumb, ok you can skip the rest now)
Like, if you are saying "Luocha should die" then yes, you should have your skin peeled off and dried on your back in an oven and fed to you because you are worth less than 1/100000 of a single pixel of him, but like, the general "I hate Luocha" response, aka nothing heinous, but like, just an opinion.
So what?
If you make a public post, on a public site, where everyone can see, someone is going to disagree with you. If you can't handle that, make a private account so only your friends can see it.
If you post a story to the internet, then yes, someone is going to think your writing is trash and yes, they have the right to say so. If you post your art, same thing. Though some extent, I agree that creators should be treated a littttle bit more nicely because they spent time and effort and you put in... uh nothing. But, like if someone is just giving general feedback, or they're pointing out something they dislike, if you have insecurities, that's... your problem. You can't project your insecurities on to someone else and claim "you're being obtrusive!"
Sure it might make you feel bad, but if they have valid criticisms, if what they are saying is right or just their opinion, then you can't really... disavow them by saying "wElL I DiDN't aSK fOR yOuR OpINIon" like you're a 3rd grader who cries whenever someone says they don't like your binkyboo.
idk, I find this culture of "we need to be positive" to be so annoying. In some... circles, I agree it should be in place, like writing, art... etc etc things that OP had to put effort into because idk, they put effort, you take 2 seconds to make a judgement, at least be nice about it even the distribution of time.
If you are up at fucking... FOUR AM POSTING "I LOVE LUOCHA" on repeat after writing fanfiction (... ( ̄∇ ̄")), then I think someone has the right to say "Luocha sucks" (I will send you... hm... jump scares when I know you're about to go to sleep if you do that to me btw).
Because like, that's not effort or time, that's just... your opinion and people have the right to say what they want about your opinion. It's hypocritical to be like, "I'm going to intrude on YOUR space" (even if I don't mean to) and then turn around and be shocked when they intrude back. It's like these people don't realize... that... you're posting it to the internet, not your private furry discord server.
If I want to pray to Luocha, I pray at a shrine for Luocha, not the... disgusting public... places.
At the same time, it's lowkey kind of insecure. If you like something, then you shouldn't let some random comment from a loser (me) make you feel like your tastes are diminished. It's like, you know the person behind the screen has no friends (me), has no life (me), probably is a degen (me), and is obsessed and annoying (me). If some random asscheeks comment is making you so hard you're questioning whether or not you just turned masochistic and found your secret dommy mommy, then that's... a you problem, honestly.
I have insecurity issues, and I like, read what everyone says religiously and twists it into thinking that they all hate me in some way, shape, or form-but I'm well aware that's ME. That's something wrong about me. I'm the type of person to read one disgusting piece of molten freeze dried fleshbag say heinous things about Luocha's thighs and get depressed, but idk, that's... a me thing. I can't impose my own tastes on them and then moral police them when they do it back because I'm too pathetic to grow two balls and a huuuuuge pp to deal with it.
And the person posting it, they probably just didn't check if the person who was writing "I LOVE LUOCHA" is straight up a psychopath who will send you increasingly disgusting messages about your dick until you take it back because Luocha is holy and sacred and YOU

I was reading one on KHR that was like 97 chapters (I only read it because of that hehehe and I read all of it... last night... aha... I skipped the weird ones though...) and it ended up being a collection of works really. Some of them were actually pretty interesting (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ A lot of them were pretty repetitive ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍. Maybe a quarter was smut ┗( T﹏T )┛
Anyway, there were a few where the art looked exactly the same as the original manga, but also some that looked a little different. Personally, I think that it depended on what they were talking about. Some were about TYL KHR characters during uh a specific time uh set (... no spoilers?) and the anime and manga never really released what adult Tsunayoshi looked like ( ╥﹏╥ I'm still mad about that, man...) and so these future doujinshis would uh extrapolate.
Honestly, he looked like Firo Prochainezo from Baccono! in most of them tbh...
But! There was one where he had long hair and honestly, even though the artstyle was different I thought it was pretty cool. Most of the doujinshis had pretty similar art, and there was honestly only a few that were really really~ similar to the original art. But I was just curious because sometimes they would make Tsunayoshi look 10 (/TДT)/ (honestly kind of weird) or excessively cuter... which was also kind of weird...
"how can someone become more cute as they become more stupid" is specifically what I remember Mukuro saying (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ He's right lol.
So... I'm just curious as to whether people like doujinshis with wildly different artstyles and interpretations or if they like them uh close to home (?)?

I play a lot of games.
However, something I have noticed a lot about games... is how dumb people are about them.
There are playerbases that are so allergic to improvements that they actively make the game worse.
And there are going to be people who go, "don't interact with them"
I like to yap.
Reddit doesn't let me yap like this, so I post it here for all of you to pretend to read before telling me to shut up. I don't care, I need to release my creative spirit.
Genshin and HSR.
The problem is story skippers.
Basically, in Genshin and until recently in HSR, you couldn't skip the story in it. And you might think, so what? Well, HSR's recent patches have each been 7 hours long stories and Genshin isn't much better. And the issue with HSR and Genshin is that their story... honestly is kind of shit. I think they're getting slightly better recently, but like up until now, it's been shit. Don't listen to the people going "Sumeru was PEAK", yeah it was peak... FOR GENSHIN.
So a lot of people just want to skip the story with a skip button.
However, there is this tiny minority of people who are like, "No!!! If you do, there are going to be people who spread misinformation!"
I only need one sentence to explain why they are wrong: People who skip the story... are not going to talk about the story because they don't like the story.
That is it.
The people who spread misinformation are probably people who have read the story, misinterpreted, or misunderstood stuff. They are part of the "I read the story" community.
That is why it is dumb. And when you point this out, oh my god, suddenly they all shut up! Or their brain malfunctions (which I think is impressive because I didn't know they had a brain) and repeat everything they said... without addressing anything you said.
Also, can we just like, stop for a moment and truly appreciate these people for being worried about misinformation on a fictional world. How braindead and jobless do you have to be that you are THIS angry at "misinformation" to the point you are willing to hinder QoL improvements because you're so selfish you can't get your head out your ass?
And, ik I'm ranting, so it's lowkey hypocritical, but I never said I wasn't stupid as well.
Anyway, I never once thought a community would actively try to fuck themselves up, but people always surprise me.
And no, I don't think we need to be "understanding" of these people because they are coming from a standpoint of selfishness and self-centered pride in the fact that their life revolves around a dreamworld. It's also funny because these are the same people who love theory crafting aka making random shit up and will diss on people whose theories they believe to be... more wrong than their own.
They are also the same people who actively try to police the fandom... in a world where Ao3 exists and the entire.. subgenre of alternate universe is a thing. I know they say, "oh they are pushing it as the real narrative" but at the same time, so what? Most of the fandom is comprised of four year olds with 0 reading capabilities. It's normal. People misread, they headcanon, they do dumb shit, it's not that big of a deal.
And here is the second thing... When I see people like this... I enjoy checking their bio because I really want to know what kind of lowborn I am speaking to. It's... usually an adult. Which I find hilarious because you have this grown ass 20 year old, whining about misinformation spread by a 12 year old TikTok. Tell me you are single without telling me you are single. No, even better, tell me your parents disowned you without telling me your parents disowned you because I sure as hell would (I wouldn't-).
Anyway, I just hate this problem people have with QoL updates because I know for a fact I don't want to read world quests for the 200th hour because I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT SOMEONE'S DEAD GRANDMA AGAIN.

I will be honest whenever someone tells me they love some kpop stars because they look nice, I just go, "You do realize like a very high% of them just undergo plastic surgery?”
And like, I want to ruin the fun, and idk how so many push that stuff as being attractive when a good %of them are just enforcing negative beauty standards.
Like am I high or something, why am I getting lectured about being appreciative of all fashion when your bullshit fanbase supports a bunch of plastic surgery production lines?
s(・`ヘ´・;)ゞyou lose the right to complain about me saying I don't like bikinis because they're too revealing the second you say you like Aespa.
And no, saying you don't support plastic surgery doesn't cut it.
Idk it's like, how... Perfomative are you if you're going to call yourself a kpop fan and then say you dislike the industry practice while supporting the very same industry? Like, every concert ticket you buy is 1/100th of another nose job. Every YouTube view 1/1000th of a buttlift. Every Instagram like is just another source of $$$ for more boob jobs.
You can say you don't support it, but like, if their face card is making you go kyaaa over them, they're going to continue doing it. What part of 'I hate it's even matters if you're lining their pockets. It's worse when they deny themselves the truth because bro calls it 'enhancement' - Yeah, and those eyelids were really enhanced weren't they?
Idk I just find it kind of bizarre. I'm not blaming the singers/dancers, but like it's just weird to me to hear the same people being like 'all beauty is beauty' while supporting literally the most restrictive form of ig 'beauty content'.
These people are hand picked for face card.
You aren't going to see my ugly mug up there.
