And I don't mean or love interests being added in last minute and have 0 contributions to the story (because those are common sense), I mean something uncommon, slightly unhinged, or even curious.
For me, it's when someone claims another person and says "You're mine." Now I'm a romantic person and I totally get the sentiment, but I think booktok or some various forms of toxic literature has taught me the consequences of ownership and obsessive hypermasculinity in both straight and queer works.
Like I'm reading a fluffy BL where it checks all the boxes of a good romance and then at the end, they confess and they're like "Finally, you're mine." No form of "You're mine/I'm yours" will do me any good. It's just nonsensical to me and it's just outright strange for me to consider it the slightest bit romantic. Logically I get the sentiment. Having someone as your partner and claiming loyalty or attatchment to them is perfectly healthy and normal. But the phrase "You're mine/I'm yours" just doesn't hit right. It sounds more possessive and materialistic than romantic.
HOWEVER HOWEVER HOWEVER. No shame on you couples who say this. It's only my personal opinion because of the culture surrounding the phrase. Usually they don't end well, is what I've figured out from it, but if it works for you, I have no issues with that. It's just, manhwa that use this phrase usually just fall down a certain rabbit hole.

ITS AMAZING IM GONNA REVEL IN IT FOR MONTHS. All the songs remind me of a lot of manga I read. My favorites are Forget Me Not and Sabotage.

Nothing worse than a red flag dressed up as a green flag. Like authors intentionally add in some detail to make the protagonist seem better when it's indeed a massive red flag. For example, Tyrant's Disabled Pet Fish. Righteous protagonist right? Sentenced a guy who's trying to survive a lifetime in jail and abuse for accusing him of being a fish (which is true) and a chapter later, establishes a modern feminist federation... I loved the lightness of the novel until the end. Terrible. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm from the U.S but I really wanna buy things from taobao that I can't find anywhere in the u.s. I have siblings who I wanna buy clothes for (because american kid sizes are too big and unfashionable asf) and I'm getting mixed signals from reddit users. Some say I need to verify my account or something and others say to just go for it? Can anyone help out? I'd appreciate it
