American here, we’re doing even shittier than usual rn but I do like our national park system. Might be some different causes: people who are really lonely and never had healthy relationships who like the idea of a person caring about them so much that they’re obsessed/yandere, being exposed to it in media they consume and therefore getting it normalized for them, and people who are just naturally freaky(?)
