Honestly, I think you're probably reading the same types of BLs with similar formulas. I would really branch out a bit - read the ones that are story and character focused (these rarely get very big). I know you didn't want examples but I'm giving them anyways - if not for you than for others who wants something different. "Out of Control" is about......   reply
