From a writer's perspective they way they used this as a unsuccessful plot tool was not beneficial to the story at all. Telling him he is gonna kill him, pinning a rather useless plot twist to star up drama when there is already alot. This was not necessary. To turn a support character into a bad guy who got them hurt. But hey at least 17 people think the same. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Ok sorry I understand, you're not blaming him about being a villain. you were talking about writer's way of writing. I'm not gonna give any spoiler but in the end writer manages to use this occasion in a good way.
Yes haha i hope it was kindaaaa useless to throw a good guy under the bus, but every yaoi has it's flaws. Webtoons kinda are know for their more random plot tools. I guess get the money ㅋㅋㅋ
