I think for the people that are upset because people are dropping this is annoying. Like they're entitled to their judgement, as long as they're being respectful I don't see why it matters. I personally think I will probably be dropping it until it's completed because the plot clearly will not be going anywhere for a while. For those who are saying things like,"Finally Seungho is changing~!" NO! He's not changing. If he did, the first thing he would have done was to get on his knees and beg for Nk forgiveness. But no, all he did was go to Jinhwa and THREATENED him. Yes, THREATENED him. He didn't leave him with a scratch and that is speaking volumes on for his character. Like you can rape Nk day in and day out because you're selfish and you're always expecting of him, but when someone else brings him harm's way all you did is threaten them and don't even apologize to Nk. Then you have... Jinhwa... the biggest clown of all bls I've ever read. I swear to god if he follows through with that other idiots plan AGAIN after the last one failed... I hope he gets murdered or smth. I think stories like these need death. Like when Nameless kidnapped Nk, I was hoping Nk would actually get killed because that would've played out way better than what has been happening. It feels like I've been reading the same chapter over and over again honestly. If the next chapter isn't smth new, I'm just going to drop until it's completed.

I really think that taking a break from a story that doesn't bring joy and only leaves people frustrated is the best thing one can do for themselves (and not gonna lie, it's a relief for other readers as well in topics because the comments become repetitive).
I took a break of two weeks, although one thing different is that I'm not sure I relate to this need some readers have to announce they are dropping it. It's not a meeting, people won't really miss if a reader stops reading this, if anything they will be relieved because even if we ourselves think our thoughts are original and we need to let people know how much we hate or are disappointed, in the sum of things, our complaint just sounds yet another version of the same that dozens already posted. So, this is a personal taste but usually I quietly leave stories that I dislike. Some I leave for good, some I avoid even knowing how it is going and some I follow by taking a peak at the comments to see if they changed course.
I don't think Seungho will be achieving the level of 'redeemed' that most readers want any time soon. He won't met the expectations of most of the readers are demanding he reaches by now. It's a very slow paced development with the main couple and it would be weird if the author broke now the flow.
So I think more people could do this sanity check by now with POTN. If the story is not giving pleasure, unless a reader is a masochist or their joy became to annoy readers who are enjoying the story with repetitive posts, it's really a relief when you stop reading something that frustrates you.
I found that sometimes I even find even more appreciation for stories that I left behind or catch myself thinking that I was glad that I didn't spend even more time on it.
Do it. Take a break and don't waste more time on a story that doesn't give you joy.

I was one of the few that was saying I liked how much more realistic Seungho character development was going to be, because people don't change overnight. But this really have nothing to do with his character development. I also have come to believe that you or tbh most of this fandom don't like anyone "announcing their departure" or criticizing potn, or you find our criticism "repetitive" because it's either your favorite or one of your favorite bl(s) to read. But I think as long as people are respectful when critiquing it... there's is no problem. They're entitled to their opinions. I'll admit some people like to title their hate towards potn as constructive criticism when it's not. I will probably drop it after the next chapter and that's fine and I'll announce it all I want. Stop trying to dictate how we feel about the story so you can find it acceptable.

I think people get defensive whenever they read something that don't completed cheer up what they say. For some reason you took my post as an attack because I happened to reply to your post expressing support for the idea to take a break of the story and in the process I only said that I don't understand so much the need of readers to leave a goodbye note. If that is your thing, and it is of a lot of readers (even the ones that don't really go anywhere and keep suffering and posting the same critique from chapter one to the end).
Where in my post I dictated how you should feel about the story in order to make acceptable to me?????
Just because I related the way I usually drop stories, and this too, is just an opinion, it doesn't mean at all that I'm saying that you should do the same. Announce it, please, if that is your urge to do, if that is what makes you feel better or satisfied. I think many readers feel this need to 'break up' with the story as if it was a relationship.
To my point, my post wasn't even personal but the general monotonic feeling that becomes of topics when there are so many readers who are not enjoying the story and even though they are different people, the complaints, the posts are repetitive as a whole. To my other point that readers who don't feel pleasure reading something should indeed try more times to take a break or drop it.
As you yourself said, some (actually many) readers clearly dislike the story ( I suspect POTN attracted a lot of readers who don't usually read no con stories and for some reason act as if they were promised or fooled into something else) they dislike the story, they will probably hate it the outcome but because the story is so popular they make a point of stay and like you say, post their hate towards a story they could have ignored as constructive criticism and many times by the way is veiled shaming.
It is too bad that you took my post as an attack but I can't do much about that since mentioning my own way of break a story is in itself offensive to you because I don't understand the 'announcement of departure' part. This comment seemed to have offended you the most. To be clear: There is dictation. Please announce your departure if that's what you feel you want to do.
