His dad is a manipulative tiger parent, he real twisted. He is indenial of what he's actually been doing to his child. The Dad was raised the same way as he's said so that's why he thinks it's alright but it's really not. He's played with his child's emotions. Even if he hasn't completely realized what damage he has done, it doesn't make what he did any less unforgivable. I don't call someone like that a Man. That's no Man but a manipulative shithole. I agree to u on indenial 'cause we really can't deny the fact that he always expect something to his son. But lets not remember that its not his fault too but Ollie's, that's why his son can't make the decisions he expects.
we all know that he might be really lack of responsibilities to John but we can see he's really doing his job as a man. House without a mother really felt different but look at him, doing his best to become a great dad and his best as a chief.
