I think what’s happening is that the seme is mad that the protagonist is letting something so trivial (in the seme’s eyes) get in the way of their relationship. Even when they tried to talk it out, it seems like the seme was harsh with his words and made the protagonist feel bad, and because the seme seems a little emotionally detached he felt like this was turning into a “pointless emotional fight” so he just gave up and walked away.
I hope that makes sense? Just what I think from my perspective tho! Could be interpreted in a different way

I really don't get what the problem is ? I am not understanding what the conflict is about ?? Protoganist is dating someone who used to date someone he loved ? ... And that's a problem now ... why ? I don't understand .... Can anyone explain ?? I'm lost ....
