I completely agree with what you say, but he still holds a bit of blame for the neglect of his son and he also never communicated that he loved her and instead it honestly seemed like he also felt that she was his “best choice” but I agree with everything else you are saying
the only thing i don’t like abt him is how he’s gotten so far w his grudge that he just doesn’t care whether his decisions will affect his son or not. he doesn’t even care that vicente will potentially suffer in the future being in the same “loveless” marriage as him. if i’m gonna feel bad for anyone, it’s gonna be vicente since his parents keep neglecting him. well, at least ercella’s trying to correct her past mistakes now but harsen just won’t budge no matter what. i don’t think he even loves/cares for vicente with the way he’s acting abt marrying vicente off to someone he doesn’t even know.
yeah i agree with that, he should have asked or consented with his son or wife.... and he is a smart dude he should know what type of people that girl and he family is and it would do more harm then good thats the only thing that dont really like about him.... maybe also he kinda doesnt give her a chance to change.... he should be able to see that she is trying but he is kinda stuck in the past
she was the one who put the wall between them and their relationship and because of a misunderstanding caused by a jealous dickhead, she view someone who wholeheartedly loved her as an object that will help her family. she blamed him for using her but he never did he married her out of love she was the one who used him.... he tried to be there for her supported her but she kept him at arms length and didn't let him come close emotionally. in the end he gave up trying to get through her and thought she hated him for having her marry him... seeing the women he loves abandon their son and blame him for everything and keep telling he was the best choice like he was nothing but one of the options.......
sure he should have asked her why she was acting that way i guess but she would just have blew off his worries and blame him again communication problem is not only his fault its her as well
i honestly feel bad for him more than i do for her i know going to mental breakdowns and depression is hard but he literally had to go to war, work to support the family, receive pressure from his father (maybe because he chose to marry her, instead of a princess who would help his standing), have the person he loves say he noting but a mere choice, and raising his kid. in order to help her family because she said she chose him for that purpose he literally went to war and put her sister on the throne as well as her brother in a better position
