Which VERSION is better?

Someone in NovelUpdate spoilt some main differences between novel and manwah/webtoon...

The balcony scene:
In Novel MC has suicidal thoughts because she asking herself why she should keep fighting even though nobody really wants or cares about her. Before she could even jump off the ML pulls her away. With tears on her face she had a quiet moment with the ML until she walks away.
In the WEBTOON she does not have any self doubts and was so very happy being badass that she was playing with the thought of reaching the top. She stretched up her arm to the stars and accidently almost fell off from the balcony until ML saves her. Feeling very embarassed she runs away very quickly from him.

So which version of the MC do you prefer:
The badass who is so sad and lonely that she wants to end her life or the badass who is a proud confident funny clumsy bitch???

tbh i actually like the sad version reason why is because she did some self reflection where she questioned her actions and there is more meaning behind him saving her rather then just an accident and the romance between them will only grow stronger because he saw her at a tough moment

I personally dislike some stories where the MC is just a badass and theres no real development life isn't always sunshine and rainbows you connect more with the character too because its just unrealistic if a person is always satisfied with what they do and somehow their scheme or plan worked out magically because they where that witty or smart.

If they made a mistake and own it and are able to rise to the top through trial and error that is something that is so magical to me because I can sometimes see myself in them or imagine how I would handle that situation.

Idk tho lol maybe im just rambling off but that was just my opinion

    You nailed it.

I guess the manwah artist wantd to make it less dark and more upbeat than the original.

I get the impression that the MC in the Novel is much more calmer and her family members seems to be more fucked up. Ariel easily killed a former headmaid by letting her getting strangled by another maid and then let her corpse being chopped into pieces.

Do you think Melissa in "Beware of the Villainess" is too sunshine and rainbow?
Even if it is true, I can't stop idolizing the unapologetic bitch queen ^^

I think "The Pet Of The Villainess" is probably for you a good story about pain, trials, platonic love, empowerment and emancipation.
Or sth more feminist and realistic "Kingdom of the Queen"

lol thank you for my TED talk *bows*

and yea! I like Beware of the Villainess but its more of a form of escapism for me at least because if everything did work out perfectly like that hecc I am for it I guess its because all the characters are so fucking hot too QwQ

And I read Pet of the Villainess i dropped it a while back because I was just done lol and I wanted something like an unrealistic ending where all of em have a big old fuck pile just ship everyone together ( ̄∇ ̄") although I might pick it up again lol because I really love how the MC was practical

And I never heard of Kingdon of the Queen maybe i'll pick that up! Thanks! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
