read the novel and his ex fiance somewhat time-travelled too? like when the FL returned to a previous point in time, so did her ex-fiance. so he was like getting all these deja vu vibes and it was always ALWAYS correct. but he hasnt figured it out yet that he has memories from the past/time traveled. thats why he was shocked the FL was alive because FL was supposed to be missing for a long time already

2. he remember his past life
But then again the circumsyances is not that of a match. My first theory wont be resonable since the facial exprrssion is not matched, my second theory is not match with the time period
