Haha yeah I mean I don’t take the sex scenes seriously in any way it’s clearly just wishful thinking on the writers part lol but I do wonder if some people start to form unrealistic expectations not just from written fiction but films inc porn. It would be refreshing to see a more realistic representation of sex and intimate scenes to provide some balance. I get more vexed with the absolute refusal to respect the word no in nearly every sex scene I’ve read. BL seems to be saturated with this unhealthy dynamic in particular and it gets a little boring. When you’ve experienced it first hand it’s not endearing at all. Also the whole “he’s only ever been with women so can’t be gay” type set ups where they keep insisting they must be straight because they only liked women before but seem to forget that bisexuals etc exist so it’s not always a case of choosing one over the other.
