i agree that i hope they don't throw a random mpreg at the end to please readers, though i really don't think they'd do that.
i had the same thought that if they need to carry on the bloodline there's tons of half-siblings running around since the previous king slept around so much. something tells me too that wolfgang is not going to be one to carry on tradition, judging by how he overturned the tradition of choosing a guard to be based on merit and not class or gender. i feel like he might also do the same for the throne, especially since those words of mosshire seemed to stick with him, about shin not picking him if he hadn't had gold hair and eyes.
it may not be that easy or simple of a solution but i think that ppl are being a bit too dramatic about the queen thing rn, especially since shin is kinda dying

i don't think it's exactly "dying" but he's extremely sick and from spoilers i saw

whatever magic thing they did to him when he was kidnapped (that truth serum i think) is reacting really badly with his body bc his body can't handle magic. so it's causing his health to deteriorate, it's not just the stress. they're trying to figure out a way to cure/save him but yeah he's kinda fucked up rn and i think he's taking the opium or whatever we saw him smoking in the preview to deal with the pain. so a queen is really the least of their problems
Wouldn’t it be more reasonable to not turn this into an m-preg story at the last minute for no reason. In my opinion it would be better if they picked someone’s child to be the heir like there is that whole gang of people who are descendants of the king literally any of their kids could technically be an heir if you really want to keep it in the bloodline. Having someone that isn’t their biological kid necessarily would make the current King look good because it shows that he cares about his people and not just about hierarchal nonsense.
