I just finished reading and currently re-reading. Could you tell me why so many people hate this manga? So far I've only seen good reviews for the anime and manga (mostly). And I personally think this manga is superb.
I think they just hate the idea of animals having feelings, as well as how we get a little insight on the sex between them. They just immediately label anyone interested a furry instead of actually watching it on their own

A lot of people hate on Beastars but I love the whole theory of putting animals into our places. The way they are allowed to eat insects because they can't speak to consent (showing what we do to animals) and the racism that goes on between each different breed. I just love this so much cause its so much more than what people make it out to be
