Yeah, the very beginning of the series had them meeting up again after Jian Yi disappeared.

But it wasn't really...a story then it was mainly those first chapters in which we had a series of comic strip storyline and hijinks we didn't even have words or scripts.

Then it slowly got added and became a story and they were talking about how Jian Yi was going back to school and how he wanted to go college with Zhan Zheng Xi but he had to catch up on the school his missed while he was gone for several years.

Then suddenly we saw the boys in school and realized this is all a flashback to their middle school/high school time before Jian Yi disappeared. Which is why this whole story is a flashback and we didn't even know their names until chapter 105 and 106.

I actually didn't even notice that in the first chapters they were older. The apartment was different too. After reading your comment everything makes much more sense now. At first I thought that the first chapters (where they are in college and stuff) were there just for extra material or something like that. The disappearance of Yin is logical now too. Re-reading the start clarified a lot. Thanks man. Guess I wasn't paying attention. So even if this flashback ends miserably I think we are going to see more moments between them in the current time-line. Gives us some hope at least.

I noticed it when the school storyline started. I was confused and went back and re-read things and finally understood a flashback started out of nowhere.

I kept expecting it to end but it continued so I guess we are working our way through the past up to the present time or at least until Jian Yi disappears.

We talk about the story being a flashback all the time in the comments. But they do tend to get buried when the next new chapter comes out lol.
