The reply of the other person isn't really correct. The uke thinks he's "seen" and "gone" through it all - hence he underestimates the danger he's in etc. However, Seme knows that just as well that if he'd try to tell the uke the uke wouldn't take him seriously etc - so he's just letting things develop for now so uke can see that "no, you've not seen or been through it all". It's like letting your kid make their own experiences while you know better but they won't listen so you're just waiting there to catch them once they fall etc.

As i said the other person isn't correct. Yeh, to a certain extent the Seme is being manipulative but at the same time the Uke still hasn't understood his situation really. That is portrayed several times with even the other Uke calling him out for just taking a random drink from some person - or the way he keeps, in a sense, hoping for injury and the from Seme promised punishments. Sometimes you've gotta let people run into their own misery in order for them to learn, or see that they've got a better option waiting already - which the Seme thinks he is for the Uke. The Uke is getting into shit left and right and he doesn't really learn at all and the Seme is troublesome in his own way but in that certain situation people are kinda reaching. If you want a proper and healthy Lovestory yaoi, bl or manga generally are probably the wrong medium to find it.
