HELLO people wake the f up. So hes a different person now so goddamn what, the mc just strait up saying she was more awful than her rapist in her last life, cause she couldnt care for her tormentors child. THIS make no sense the amount of self respect this mc has is non existant. NO HUMAN WITH TRAUMA WOULD CARRY ON SAYING I DIDNT LOVE MY RAPISTS BABY SO THAT MAKES ME A MONSTER. The truth bout this story is that she only has no trauma cause she excuses the shit that happened to her, whether that trying to convince herself and the reader that they were equally as bad in their last life or making someone else a victim of something not even as bad as what she went through. SAY IT WITH ME PEOPLE, DONT PRETEND BEINg RAPED MURDERED AND HUMILATED MEANS YOU DESERVE IT CAUSE YOU HAVE NO SELF ESTEEM>

Someone tell me this story is not just saying girls should not have self esteem. WHO cares if the people are different wheres the trauma, Does anyone remember the fact that she wanted to kill him, and it took a few words for her not to hate him. EXPLAIN to me situations wheres hes done something that can help trauma.

I get what you're saying. And that's a very weird characterisation for the mc. That she's demonising herself for being unable to love her child because she was raised with so much support?? Like even if you combine the experiences of both her lives: in her first life she was a cold person and didn't really have any instance that gave her motherly instincts, she was raised to be empress and she did that. In her second life her dad encouraged her to be selfish (not in a bad way, in a 'it's okay to put myself first' way) so even here she definitely shouldn't have the self-sacrificing nature to somehow blame herself despite her being the very obvious victim. She's been made out to be this perfect angel with the most forgiving heart despite having zero people expect that of her. She was literally not raised to be like this, even if she was specifically raised to be kind this is not kindness this thought process is just self harm.

But. On that note I disagree with holding the present emperor accountable for the past version's bad deeds. He doesn't owe it to her to help with her trauma. Nobody does. Dealing with trauma is a personal journey, even if it's a dumbass route it's her own. And it's also nice that they're so obviously two different people. He's not the same person he was in the past version and she's not finding excuses to forgive him because she can't stop loving him. He's clearly a different and genuinely nice person and while it's dicey that she's able to love him at all, it's still okay.

yes i get it but i hate that the author gave us no trauma. There is never a reason for her in this second timeline to even feel safe talking to him. Its not the fact that hes a different person, its that mc went through the trauma and got brocken as she tried to stab him. He just said some nice things to her and that does not create a reality where she can be comfatable having his head on her lap. No matter if its a different person, trauma does not allow the victim to forget, her automatic instinct when looking at this new timelines face would be to have an anxiety attack or something like it. Her trauma just instantly vanished in this series within a few chapters, cause he said some nice words, give me a situation where they can grow as characters along with cosequences of their actions.
