You’d have to read mahou shout of the end to understand, basically the main character of that manga is ayas father and the main antagonist of that is the same one for this one. Ngl it could have been a lot better if an ending but it just seemed way too rushed

Tbh no. The way they introduced that it’s a sequel to the original is in the end of the manga in a sloppy rushed way adding no real relevance or importance to the story. They’re both pretty stand alone for the most part
