Let's overlook Azusa's obsessive behavior coz why not. Kaeda is already in the recieving end of the relationship, and yet he's the one who couldn't even listen to a simple request from his lover to stay away from the other btch. It says much about his feelings for Azusa. Although he does love him, it's not solid enough for the relationship to last. Well, that's on me hating on Kaeda. Just my opinion tho.

He turned his head other way, he ignored what the omega guy was saying, literally said to omega guy that he doesn't want omega boy to talk to him because Azusa will be uncomfortable. But the guy kept following him and we saw them actually having longer conversation one time... (the same time Azusa noticed) and after argument with Azusa, Kaeda completely ignored the other omega boy?
And then his instincts took over his will and body.
So I don't agree he didn't try.
And he has to go to lectures.
