We have to remember how much his mother’s negativity affected his actions. I also think we didn’t see much of Haesoo taking care of Joowon throughout the story. It’s only shown in one panel out of what, 2 years of updates, where he’s wholeheartedly consoling a distressed Joowon. The rest of the time, I guess the first season, he seemed reluctant and begrudging when called upon to go to or find Joowon. It’s a problem of perception. I don’t think it’s meant to be that way, though - remember how he rushed over all terrified when Joowon hurt his hand. And of course Haesoo said he’d never abandoned him.
Anyway, Joowon wouldn’t want us to think this way. He’d be Haesoo’s biggest booster, vehemently arguing with us over any of Haesoo’s perceived flaws.

oof that last line is so true tho!!! he'd defend haesoo more than anyone else ;A;
and honestly i think haesoo does really seriously care about joowon, but it was because of his mom emotionally abusing him for so many years that he felt like he should never truly express that unless joowon really needs it (like when jw gets hurt or something). i really honestly wish we could've gotten a flashback of joowon when he hit that bottom point in his career and show how haesoo supported him. i think it would've made us see how much haesoo really cares about joowon above all else, instead of joowon just recklessly chasing after haesoo the whole time and giving and giving while not getting much in return throughout the course of the story :<
Im glad it’s finally over
