its understandable for taehwan to be so angsty considering he had to deal with racism as a kid, so growing up and realizing youre not only a minority but also gay could stir something up in him, defensive fear

that’s basically what’s going on, he’s just scared, jealous and in denial and that’s why he acts that way .-.
So this is just my theory, but I think Taehwan was starting to develope feelings for Yeonwu back in highschool but then was also in denial like nah I'm not gay. So like internalized homophobia (is that the correct term?). Anyways that could be why he is so weird when it comes to gay people. Because he is so in denial about possibly being gay, he is having an inner struggle and is jealous of what Dojin and Taehee have. Like maybe it reminds him of him and Yeonwu and that's why he gets mad because it's like "no I'm not gay."
