again WHICH actors and WHAT roles? gay roles in korean dramas is almost non existant. almost all the queer roles and stories are in film. some of the best film actors in SK have played gay characters or characters who engage in queer relationships or identities. not to mention all the less famous korean actors who still give a great performance in a smaller film. cause most korean films about lgbtq arent big budget but one of the critically acclaimed films to come out of SK in the last 2 years was Handmaiden which was about a lesbian relationship. but since this is about men ill focus on male actors/films:
Examples: Cha Seung Won (man on high heels), Park Sung Woong (method), Kwak Shi yang and Jae Joon mo (night flight), Kang Woo Sung and Lee Jun Ki (the king and the clown), Lee Je hoon and Yeon Woo Jin (just friends?), Kim Jae Wook (antique bakery), Kim Nam Gil (no regret), Yoo Min Kyu (one night only). those are the films that are explicitly queer and they are mostly indie. there's others but theyre even more indie. some of the names in that list are huge names in korea and vital parts of korean's movie industry Chungmuro which has been producing many hits over the last 5 years especially with SK pouring more money into their film and tv industry than ever. some of the best directors in the world now are south korean. there's alot more films and shows that have homerotic themes and implications but as they are not explicitly canonically queer narratives i did not list them here and i didnt list tv dramas as those tend to have many characters and narratives but there are a dozen or so kdramas within the last 10 years that has had a queer character or relationship tho rarely as the sole or main focus. SK has alot of issues with both the lack of lgbtq content and what content IS available but its not at all because the talent is lacking and its entirely down to the culture and laws there (tho they are trying to improve at least). like just say you cant think of any male korean actor to play the role cause u barely know any or any korean media and leave it at that. why just make a sweeping assumption (based on what??) that an entire nation's entertainment industry has no capable actors in queer roles? esp when alot of the better work for queer narratives is on stage or small films that are much harder (or impossible) to see abroad. in the future pls dont speak ur ignorance like its Facts. thnx.

lmao i listed his name along with the movie he did. i thought u said you watched them all? (its man on high heels, i believe he was playing a pre op transgender woman in that one. i say woman but they called him a man and anyway it was very Dark and Heavy i want more happy gays in my korean entertainment pls)
I will pay to see this turn into a movie or TV series, I keep on commenting this BUT THIS IS TOO GOOD TO BE REAL. 10/10 THE BEST.
