If im not mistaken, orange hair boy wanted to fight for FL justice by finding out who was the culprit. I think I read somewhere that he found out that his fiancee told FL that she was not welcomed to the wedding. The twins and red haired cried and blamed themselves for what they had said to her in the previous chapters. I cant rmb in details. But I read that the black shoulder length hair cardinal actually kind of like the FL. You know, the reverse yandere type(instead of killing other ppl, he kill the one he likes) because she reminded him of someone(i think it was a dead person).
And I also heard that in the present, orange hair boy fiancee will actually end up with red hair boy

The pope explained that her death had to be be horrifyingly brutal so that they could use it as an excuse to start a war. The cardinal just hated the fact that she couldn't be his so he killed her. Be believes that her being dead would put her in God's arms and thus make her his in the end.
Oh shit thats a weird way of thinking. Wonder how he started to obsessed with shuli? Did they explained it. I dont want to call it he fell in love cause thats wayyy different
I read spoilers if you don't mind. Shuli resembles greatly the previous empress, the prince's mother. Everyone was pretty much in love with her? This is also why the Duke married Shuli in the first place, he was still pretty much infatuated with her but of course, the empress married the emperor.
The priest regarded other priests that spent their time drinking and getting women as repulsive and the lowest of the lowest, considering their priesthood. So, when he fell in love with Shuli, he wasn't simply smitten but utterly obsessed with Shuli. So in a sense, he became like those he abhorred and believed it was Shuli's fault... he wanted her dead so they could pay for their sins (her "seducing" him, him falling for her), and since she would be in God's arms, she would eventually be his once he died as well.

I'm sure it's better explained in the novel but indeed, he's one crazy bastard. Shuli didn't deserve NOTHING of what happened to her, absolutely nothing. Not even the kids' treatment, she deserved much more.
Nah he isn't a reverse yandere, just your normal yandere. Yandere includes killing the person you like because you can't have them or bc you're afraid that they'll cheat on you or leave you one day. So they killed their loved ones so that they can't be anyone's else's

I dont know why, but I want to see what the guard saw. I mean, how brutal did they do it? Is it still recognizable or nah?
I hope in the next chapter, we see what the reactions of the brats when they learned that their suprise evwnt for cant happened, that shuli left before they bid goodbye, that shuli died in a brutal way and they can never speak to her again. Ever.
