As long the abusive bad Ml is portrayed as very desirable hot and as someone with a tragic backstory, you can overlook his atrocities.

Yeah I know in Cas’s case it’s not entirely his fault BUT I wouldn’t want him and the MC getting together. So I’m really glad that they don’t get together. Just feels realistic and healthier. So many stories have the MC getting together with the dude who tortured or killed them, with pretty much minimal mental struggle. I still like those stories, but my eyes roll each time I see such plot developments.

Same, it is still the fact that he could’ve done those things to her that is a factor to me if he was truly in love with Angela (or whatever the bitchs name is) I think that in this timeline I hope he can find happiness without the MC. Because he just wants the ideal marriage with her but just seeing him probably gives her mixed feelings especially since she thinks its just that he hasnt fallen in love with Angela yet. I hope that she realizes that it was due to the potion and could give him somewhat comfort instead of just trying to make him fall for Angela. It’ obvious he’s hurt from it and how his fiance feelings have changed and he at least deserves a reason

Even though I know that Cassiel is actually innocent due to the fact that he was fed the "ridiculous" love potion, I really prefer and admire that the FL Jayna can't really forget + forgive that he tortured and killed her in the first timeline. So she decides against being with him for her mental well being.
A person should not be together with the one who caused their trauma/death!
I like to praise "Tearmoon Empire Story" because sassy petty self-serving also reformed princess Mia does not end up with the prince who ordered her execution! We actually see her inner thoughts/monologues saying THE HELL NO!
I am still very pissed that the authors make/force their traumatized FLs Lizzy + Aristia to be in a messed up love relationship with the manchild ML who tortured and executed them!
