Exactly !! But i think that they added the very rural and cultural aspect of Africa to introduce the culture in a more fun way to the readers
I think the intention behind him being im a very rural community in Africa instead of a city is to introduce the different cultures around the world into a BL story and not just use the cliché of "no cities in Africa"
