I understand why you think that way but he still rubs me off the wrong way like he only cares about her since she isnt "acting up" like he was worthless to her until she decided to change instead of him actually helping her out and being there for her he decided to be a ass
maybe it’s bc of the severe daddy issues i have that i’m a sucker for dad/daughter rebuilding relationship trope so i lowkey like the dad and appreciate that he’s trying to make it better after making a mistake rather than just brushing it off and not doing anything to make it better
