Heck I thought that if they sacrificed their life for a merman they would become one too but I forgot about the blood lol
I came to this conclusion cuz haru cut his arm and made rin drink his blood through a kiss and at the end two tails were shown so yeah. And rin sacrificed himself so haru could live he turned marman by swallowing the blood
