I honestly believe Taehwan is a better guy down to the core than Yahwi. Yahwi is a piece of psycho shit born from another piece of psycho shit. (I think the author built Yahwi from her psycho character from a guy like you)

honestly how dare anyone compare taehwan to yahwi. the absolute DISrespect!!1 lol. but yeah like...these BL comics be poisoning people's minds. anyone paying the slightest attention while reading this would be able to see that taehwan isnt like yahwi and i read like what 5-6 chpts of YTC before Nope-ing out from boredom? its truly That obvious lol. (maybe if their only impression of taehwan is from s2 onward? i wonder how many here only started reading from s2 and not s1 and thus missed the finer points of taehwan's character shown in the previous season. im p curious. too bad u cant do polls on this website)

Well I hope Taewhan doesn't become like Yawhi . I am not stating that Taewhan is like Yawhi now at the current moment but I hole he doesn't.

Sorry, I’m a little obsessed with this webtoon so I’m protective of it and Taewhan. I think we’ve just seen enough of a character build up of Taewhan to know that he’s actually a nice and funny guy. He just has a temper and his own closeted issues (like a normal person). Unlike Yahwi who is an asswipe psycho to begin with, then you put his issues on top of that-he’s not a good guy.

the thing about yahwi and really the comic itself (and why i dropped it so fast) is that he's...very thinly written? there really isnt more to him than being an asshole who looks good and is good at his job. thats like...It. there isnt anything distinctive about him from other similar characters and there's no specificity to him or his dynamic with the cutesy blonde he's involved with, its just a rinse and repeat cylce of Sadistic dbag in bed...outside of bed...in private life and public life...just all the time. and this kid who is our main pov character is like in love with him..Because? he's hot...i guess? (it doesnt help that yahwi's face is too pointy to me my type lol but even if it wasnt that wouldnt save him). like there was nothing convining me these two either 1. have real sexual chemistry or 2. should ever be a couple. and i did briefly check in on the comments of YTC and peeked at the most recent chpts the other day to see if maybe it had gone thru some big changes since months worth of chpts later (years worth?) and...it hasnt? but its still SO popular and i do noooot understaaaand. but w/e. its not my business what people read but i do feel Some Kinda Way about people comparing any characters or story beats from that webtoon to BS. just feels unfair to BS. Dolsha didnt work so hard and use her OWN life experiences studying abroad just to be clowned on like this!

And didn't Dolsha say that she used a friend's experience for one of the most recent chapters? I feel like Dolsha really has fleshed out her characters. I just had to reread the "fight" between Dojin and Taewhan because I wanted to refresh my memory of who Taewhan is. (Where Dojin smacks him with a book). Dolsha has done a lot of research, has used her own experiences, and has written a great story!

lmao that scene wehre dojin smacks him in the FACE was so great. and taehwan's reaction to that and taehee snapping at him to get away from dojin really humanized taehwan who up till that point came off a bit Too Cool 4 School. but then he really deflated in the face of taehee's rejction and dojin's (very valid) anger. also loved that dojin spoke up for himself! i can think of so many comics that woulda dragged this out and made taehwan an antagonist for the final arc of s1 but he wasnt at all. he was barely a hindrance and the way he changes gears completely by the end shows that the source of his anger was actually not malicious (but it was kinda petty). basically not wanting to feel left out by the two people he cares about most in the world (idk his relationship with his parents it seems fine? lol) and ofc his (wrongful) assumption that dojin took advantage of his baby bro. in a way if dojin WAS a person who was shady, taehwan's decision to completely and without hesitation cut him out of his life is a strong show of support and loyalty to his brother....but he was wildly off base so it just came off as a huge overreaction. (and this also leads back into why im glad taehee was the main initiator of their relationship.) but yeah the highlight of taehwan's scenes in s1 is rly his little heart to heart talk with taehee at the end. sis when i tell u i got teary eyed at how PURE it was. so ya i dont know how anyone can see those scenes and think taehwan is "toxic" instead of just like a flawed dude with good and bad traits in his personality. (which makes me think they rly didnt read any of s1).
sidebar: i never get why in these webtoons the sadistic types are sadistic 24/7 and not just in bed, like ok i get it u have a thing for being dominated in bed, but who in the world wants to be dominated and treated sadistically at all hours of each day? yikes tbh.

We totally took over this thread yo lol. Anyway, I laugh at "fight" chapters because it is so humanizing and relatable. It also showed that Taewhan was really willing to talk it out, he just needed that push from Dojin. And Dojin is just throwing punches and Taewhan just goes "Why are you hitting me!" "Because you keep saying things that make me want to hit you!" Then it says "(These are two "grown" men fighting)" I dunno. I do think I am biased lol.
