Also I can't really get mad at Ripley. She wants the story to follow the original plot. It's a facepalm inducing moment but I think it's necessary so that Ripley would seriously contemplate the things she did, plus the talk with Etoire greatly helps.

Again true. I wasn’t really opting for violence more so he ignores her straight up. He ignored her a bit but was still closer to her than any other person. Like he was trying to ignore her but he couldn’t keep a handle on his feelings lol
