I haven't read it yet but honestly a lot of main characters, especially in yaoi are assholes. Ig their value as a character depends on whether or not the author wanted to portray them as such on purpose

Nah man on or off is like really good. Especially if we're talking about the role of females and good characters, the manhwa is just so unproblematic
It doesn't really stand out to me as something original or groundbreaking, but rather just a BL comics version of a K-drama. Unproblematic does not mean good, and sometimes can be very boring. It's neither a shitty nor an amazing manhwa, just so-so. Though i can see why people love K-drama stuff like that.
