I feel like it is more prolonged here in manhwa due to the long time we're waiting for an update. But in novel I dont think it took for them a long time to reconcile.

Well from the story is saying, They don't know if they love each other, since their condition was "to not fall inlove"
Also some couples takes YEARS to just know each other and some doesnt even get to fully understand each other, so its kinda suprising how well they know and kinda understand each other in a way a lot of couples fail.
And swallowing pride for ppl like them, is like being choked, its very hard but eventually you'll either die from it or gulp it down
